Frequently Asked Questions

 I have put together some notes from frequently asked question to help with any that you may have.  If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them so please just get in touch.

What will I do as a Demonstrator?
You will create cards, gifts or scrapbook pages and share your love of paper crafting, with family,  friends and others. You can do this through running home parties/workshops, classes, events or even on a one to one basis. If you choose to, you will also help others enjoy the fun and flexibility of running their own Stampin’ Up! business.

Will I receive support and training?
I’ll be here to help you with anything you need. Feel free to call me with questions.  By joining, you will become part of my team and I’ll provide you with all the help and support you need.  We will have Team Training you’ll also have opportunities to interact with other members of our group who will be able to help you.

You also get support from Stampin’ Up! too:

  • A free phone number to contact the knowledgeable and friendly Demonstrator Support team.
  • A password protected demonstrator website which has lots of business resources,  template libraries and an on-line ordering system.
  • A full colour magazine called Impressions with creative and business ideas just for demonstrators will be sent to you monthly and can be accessed through the Demonstrator website.
  • An achievable incentive program for income and awards if you choose to aspire to them.
  • Regular Regional & Leadership training dates throughout the year.

How will I make money?
Since customers pay you directly, you will keep 20% of each order placed at the time of payment, this is called “instant income”.

You can earn additional money through volume rebates when your monthly sales reach £200 and above. If you build a team, you can also earn monthly downline overrides as well.

Do people really make money at this? YES!! Depending on how much time you want to put into “your” business, you can make whatever income you desire! It is totally up to you!

Do I have to recruit others?
 No. Having a downline is not a requirement.  Recruiting is absolutely optional. We have the opportunity to earn a commission based on our downline’s sales! However, it is also a responsibility. You will need to support your team and give them training to help them achieve their goals.

What are the minimum sales requirements? To stay active as a demonstrator you will need to sell a minimum of £225 commissionable sales per quarter. This works out at about £270 sales at full Catalogue Prices. Most demonstrators find that this goal can be reached in one or two workshops per quarter–or with their own purchases. Your first quarter target doesn’t start until the quarter following the quarter that you join. i.e. if you join on 1st January, you do not have to have meet your first minimum target until 30th JUNE!! – so it can actually be nearly six months to start with.

What if I only want to do this as a hobby? Do I still have to do workshops? Absolutely not.  Stampin’ Up! supports all demonstrators in the same way, regardless of how big or small their business is – you only need to do workshops if you want to. You can put in your own orders or collect orders from family & friends to meet your quarterly minimums.

Do I have to hold stocks of product? No. You will only order items when someone places an order and pays you in advance, or when you want to order product for yourself, so you won’t need to keep stock of products and no chasing payment either.

How can I show potential customers the products if I do not have stock?
This is where your Starter Kit comes in.  You’ll have enough product in there to make samples and set up ready for your first few Home Workshops.  Also I will help you make up or send you samples of product for you to show your potential customers.

How much does it cost to get started?
The Starter Kit is only £99 for £130 of product and a business supplies kit worth £45 giving a total value of £175. The product in this kit is totally customisable - you choose exactly what products you get in your kit. This can be everything you need to get your business up and running the way you want it to be and to make it profitable right away. You do not need anything else apart from your Starter Kit to be able to begin workshops straight away.
 
What if I decide it’s not for me once I’ve started? Will I be penalised if I quit? Most definitely not.  You simply stop placing orders. If you don’t meet the minimum quarterly requirement, you just “resign” – no questions asked! I’ll check to make sure you are okay and ask if I can help, but if you’ve decided to finish, then that’s okay.

 What kind of incentives will I receive as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?

As well as the cash that you can earn there are lots of other incentives as well. Such as:-
·         you will have the opportunity to earn unlimited free stamp sets during your first six months for your sales and recruiting achievements.
·         It is possible to earn the price of your starter kit back in the first six months for your sales and recruiting achievements.
