A bit of sewing......

So, one of my crafty passions is sewing. I'm not great, as in tailoring kind of great, but i get by.

I picked up a couple of patchwork style kits from Ashmead Designs early last year.  They use Hexiforms which are a "fabric" alternative to the paper or card traditionally used.

The two little kits were Christmas projects that I made up and sent to my mum in Spain.

Both come with instructions, fabric hexagons, Hexiforms, ribbon and beads.  they were so simple to put together and are super cute when done.

Long time no post!

Well it has been a long time since I have been on here!

Many things have happened in the past few years....

Both younger children are flying through primary school with my middle one off to Secondary school in September. My eldest and her partner have given me a wonderful, funny, full of joy grand-daughter who is now 18 months!  How time flies!

I have given up being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator....I know, I know! But, I began to feel that crafting was no longer fun, it was all about figures, planning, classes, demos, tax returns but not about crafting the way I wanted to.  Oh don't get me wrong, I still love Stampin' Up! products but mainly these days it is mainly the ink and cardstocks.  Oh and my Stampin' mist & Stampin' scrub!!!   I began to realise that there was actually a lot more fabulous products out there and to be honest, I wanted to craft for me, for fun.  I wanted to stamp, scrap, colour, sew, crochet etc., without worrying about whether I could use it in a class or not.

Plus, I can earn my money another way.  I got a part time job, which allows me at least 2 hours of crafting before I have to pick the children up from school should I wish.  Win win!

I am trying to learn how to use Copic markers without my colouring looking like a 3 year old did it...who knew blending could be so hard, or I could be so self critical.

My fantastic hubby bought me a Silhouette Cameo 3 for my birthday last year, my grand-daughter gave me a reason to learn to crochet...only granny squares but it is a start. I sew more now too.

I have my eye on, and have since last February at the Farnborough craft show, Brusho paints.

So hopefully over time I will post up some of my recently made makes plus more.

Happy Crafting
