Just a quickie.

Well it is half term here, and that means children at home all day and very little crafting play…well for me anyway.  The kids…well they get a lot of play and attention.  Just how it should be.

So it’s just a quickie card from me today because I didn’t want to leave you without any projects this week.

Another one from the very versatile Sycamore Street Saleabration Designer Series Papers.

I made a mat layer using the Pool party paper and added some faux stitching in Island Indigo.  The banners were 1.5cm strips which a nibbed the end using my 1” square punch, again with faux stitching.

The greeting is from the Tea Shoppe stamp set, punched out using the Word Window Punch and stock onto a Pool Party Modern Label punch out.  Mini Silver brads were added and this in turn was layered onto one of the die cuts from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set.

I’ll be back soon with some more.

Don’t forget Saleabration continues until 22 Mach so you have still got plenty of time to get these and many more of the fabulous products on offer.

Also keep an eye out for the dates for my Cards & Coffee Mornings.  Please do get in touch if you’d like to know more.

Have a great half term.

Until next time, Happy Crafting.

Card Candy

Well, I have been busy sorting through my craft room.  I don’t know about you but sometimes it seems I am so busy that I can’t keep ahead of the game.  Well part of my mission this year is to try and be a little more organised and at least one step ahead of myself with things.  I need to use the same mission in my home life too.  For example, for some one who makes a whole ton of cards over the course of the year I like so many other crafters I know, always always always leave it to the last minute to either make a card for someone in particular or to send it out!  It’s awful, and I know it.  I should be so ahead of it.  So as I said that is part of this years game plan.

That also means, part of that is to bring you all those projects that you haven’t seen yet, any cards I use to go out with my orders, any projects I make ready for home parties, all my classes etc.  And this includes some of my previous projects that I haven’t shown you yet.

Well today is one that I did for a Card Candy swap back in November.  I know that seems so last year, but you still need to see them now don’t you?

They were designed as part of a swap arranged by the lovely Sara Rayner for those that were going to Convention.  Unfortunately, I was unable to go but Sara was gracious enough to be my Convention Buddy and took along my Card Candy and some swaps for me.

Here are the card candy.  I used the Tea Shoppe stamp set and used Early Espresso, Pool Party, Whisper White and Lucky Limeade as my colour theme.

This is them all nicely packaged up…

The decoration on the top using the Large Oval and Apothecary Accents Framelits

DSC02966

I used the teacup stamp and removed the handle to make this sugar bowl.

DSC02967

I love this little cup.  I made the banner by cutting a strip of card and snipping out the and using my 1” square punch.  Clever little trick isn’t it?

DSC02968

Another of the little cups coloured directly on to the stamp using my fabulous markers punched out using my circle punch and edged with a little touch of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

DSC02969

The sentiment was stamped onto velum and punched out using the Modern label punch.

DSC02970

A pretty little flower again coloured directly onto the stamp using my markers. The pearl gives it a bit of “special”

DSC02971

I stamped directly onto the drink stirrer in Early Espresso, tied a small strip of Spice Cake fabric and made some faux stitching on the Decorative Label

DSC02972

As a little thank you I sent Sara this little card and note book.

DSC02975

The card was made using the gorgeous Twitterpated Designer Series Paper as it’s background and the sentiment comes from the Tea Shoppe set.

The notepad was decorated using the Bordering on Romance stamp set which co-ordinates beautifully with the Twitterpated papers.

Thanks for stopping by.   Until next time, Happy crafting.

I’ve been busy…

I have indeed, very busy playing with all my Saleabration goodies that I received free with my last order.

I am really loving the Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers.  Who says that 12x12 papers is only for scrapbooking?  It makes such fantastic backing paper or elements for cards and other protects too.  Did you see the Card Keeper box I made a few posts back?  Like I said the papers are great for every thing.

Well today I have some more cards for you that I made using the Sycamore Street papers.

My first one shows the hidden paper behind the matting by punching out the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch.  i love the Hello greeting from the My Friend stamp set.  I made the bow across the middles of the card using strips of the papers.

DSC03051

I love the Petite Banners builder punch that I used for the next card.  It creates a nice design across the middle of the next card.  I used the dotted edge stamp from the Pennant Parade set to stamp an edge on the Sycamore Street papers before I punched them out.

DSC03053

I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards today. Come back soon

Until next time, happy crafting.

Bloomin’ Marvellous!

I just love this set from our Sale-a-bration.  I just knew when I saw it that I needed to make a bunch of Bloomin’ flowers!

I decided to keep the colours very muted using Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, So Saffron with a base of Crumb Cake.  I used Early Espresso Ink for the greeting, and punched it out with our rather fab Ticket Duo Builder punch.

DSC03055

I tied the bunch of flowers using So Saffron Taffeta ribbon. And the leaves for the bunch came from the Bird Builder punch. I love that punch as it is so versatile for other things.

DSC03056

A pearl added to each flower gives it some dimension.

I hope you like it.

Until next time, happy crafting.

Thank you for joining the Blog Hop.

Hello there, Welcome. Thanks for stopping by.

Quick grab a cuppa and make yourself very comfortable.

Today is the “in Love with Stamping” Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop. There are 20 of us taking part.  That’s 20 fantastic projects all for your enjoyment as you hop from Blog to Blog.

If you have followed from the beginning of the hop you should have reached me from the lovely Margaret's blog.  If you are only starting here, then I shall be letting you know who is next on the list at the end of the post.  Right at the end is everyone who has taken part and a link to their blogs, so you can either go right to the beginning and start or if you get stuck, pop back here to see who is next.

So the theme of the Blog Hop was Sale-a-bration and the new Spring Summer catalogue that was released…..Today!!!!!  How exciting!

So my project for you is a box to store all those fabulous cards in that you make. Plus a couple of cards too.

I’ve used the papers in the Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers from the current Sale-a-Bration catalogue. These are such vibrant colours almost reminiscent of spring.

DSC03044

The box is made from 2 pieces of cardstock so that you get a good depth to the box to store more cards in.  I’m thinking a tutorial might be in order sometime soon.  What do you think?

Each inner tab is labelled up for a different occasion.  Now you could print these then punch them out, but all i did was look through my different stamp sets and picked out a word stamp that would be suitable for the occasion. As you can see this one has Mr & Mrs on it, so I would use this for wedding and anniversary cards.  I used a 1¾” Circle punch for the base of the tab and then the Small Oval for the label.

DSC03045

One of the cards made for the box with the greeting from Itty Bitty banners.

DSC03047

DSC03025

And the last card I used the gorgeous Petite Curly Label Punch from the SAB promotion to punch out the decoration for the card.  The greeting comes from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.  It’s such a lovely font.

DSC03046

I hope you have enjoyed your time here with me today and the projects that I made for you to see.  Well the blog hop doesn’t stop here.  To carry on you can now hop on over to Joanne’s blog for some more wonderful creations. You can get to Joanne's blog here

Until next time,

Happy Crafting!
