The Color Throwdown

One of the pages I follow on Face book is The Color Throw down. I also pop onto their blog now and again to see what is their latest colour challenge.


Well for once I had a little bit of time to actually make something with the colours that they “threw down”.

As soon as I saw the colours I just knew that I had the perfect stamp set for it. Growing Green.

This is such a simple pretty stamp set. So there I was all set up in front of the TV with my selection of colours matching inks & ribbon and created these.

I just loved using the paper crimper on the second one(P 107 in the Idea Book & Catalogue 2010-2011). It’s just seems to make the project “Pop” right out at you.

Sale-a-Bration 2011

 

Sale-a-Bration (SAB)  is here again and this years offerings are just fabulous.

Isn’t this just gorgeous?  It’s called Sweet Summer and it’s just one of this years Sale-a-Bration sets.  I love it!

The following card was made using the Sweet Summer SAB stamp set and Perfect Punches stamp Set from the main catalogue.

It’s so fresh and cottage garden looking in Early Espresso, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Rose Red.

I used Early Espresso satin ribbon across the middle of the card with the Happy Birthday raised on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The dot on the ‘i’ is accented with one of the fabulous Basic Rhinestones found on page 99 in the Idea Book & Catalogue.

Greenhouse Gala Birthday

Isn’t it gorgeous?  I just love this card.

The flowers have been cut out of one of the 12 x 12 inch sheets from the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Papers (DSP), and adhered to Early Espresso cardstock mat.  I used Gold Elastic Thread (Page 96 in the IB&C) to tie around the Early Espresso cardstock. 
The greeting is stamped in Early espresso on Whisper White Cardstock, using the Happy Birthday stamp from the Perfect Punches stamp set.  I punched this out with the Extra Large Oval punch and mounted it onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then mounted all of this directly onto a Whisper White greeting card.
I think the Gold Elastic Thread just sets this card off.  It’s an essential for your craft room and just shows it’s not just for Christmas!

Demonstrator Training - Contempo Christmas

Each year Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are able to attend training sessions which helps us bring you all the delights of Stampin’ Up’s! products and how to use them.
During our training we get to make projects too!  It’s great fun, this year there were about 70 0f us at the one I attended back in September in High Wycombe.
I couldn’t post up the project we made there before this,  as the items were from the new Idea Book & Catalogue (IB&C) but as the new (IB&C) is now here….here is the project.



Isn’t it gorgeous?  I might just have to make this my Christmas Card design this year.
I just love the colours Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso with Whisper White cardstock and Ribbon.  We used the brand new stamp set called Contempo Christmas which is just fabulous.  You might just be able to see that the bauble is standing out a little.  No that’s not the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals, it’s a little bit of 3D!



Clever Huh? There is a fabulous new punch that goes with the Bauble in the new slimline punch design.
