Amour

Artistic Etchings…..This was the set that I won last year at the 2010 Convention.  It’s such a gorgeous set and yet is one of my under used ones.  So I thought I’d have a hunt around the net and see what was out there.

I came across the fabulous blog of  Darlene McCallum who is a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator from  Alberta, Canada and this design from her blog……

I just love the way she has used the 1/8” (3mm) Taffeta Ribbon to edge the banner across the card.  It’s just so effective.

And here is my take on it.  I used Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Early Espresso cardstock.  The Key and Crown are stamped in Old Olive onto the  Old Olive cardstock.  The emblem and banner are stamped in Cherry Cobbler on the Very Vanilla cardstock.

The slight difference is that the Scallop Circle Darlene used is larger so her emblem has a border around it.  And I haven’t used the pearls on my one as I wanted it to be a little more masculine.

I hope you like it.

See you soon

Chic Valentine

Remember back at Convention I told you all about the fabulous stamp set that I won?  Well here it is all stamped up. Et VoilĂ !

I just love the Font used for the word stamp Amour!  I inked the stamp up using the “Rock & Roll” technique.  I first inked up using Cherry Cobbler (my new favourite red) and then very carefully rocked just the edge of the stamp in Basic Black before stamping onto Whisper White cardstock.

I hope you like it.

Demonstrator Training - Contempo Christmas

Each year Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are able to attend training sessions which helps us bring you all the delights of Stampin’ Up’s! products and how to use them.
During our training we get to make projects too!  It’s great fun, this year there were about 70 0f us at the one I attended back in September in High Wycombe.
I couldn’t post up the project we made there before this,  as the items were from the new Idea Book & Catalogue (IB&C) but as the new (IB&C) is now here….here is the project.

HW Training

Isn’t it gorgeous?  I might just have to make this my Christmas Card design this year.
I just love the colours Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso with Whisper White cardstock and Ribbon.  We used the brand new stamp set called Contempo Christmas which is just fabulous.  You might just be able to see that the bauble is standing out a little.  No that’s not the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals, it’s a little bit of 3D!

HW Training 1

Clever Huh? There is a fabulous new punch that goes with the Bauble in the new slimline punch design.
If you are interested in any of the items used in this project, you are able to purchase them through me.

Say Hello, Say Goodbye - It's a Renovation!

Some very exciting and fabulous news has just been announced by Stampin Up. Stampin Up is having a renovation...a colour renovation to be exact.

With the arrival of our new catalogue later this year we will see a major change to the colour families. This is great news for the UK as it means that we get 15 new colours AND we get the In-Colours that the US currently get - that will be 20 new colours to play with. They will then be known as Colour Collections

This means that there will be some exciting new colours for you and we will be saying a fond farewell to some other colours.

There will be 15 new colours to choose from:
Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Marina Mist, Cajun Craze
Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo
Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango
River Rock, Soft Suede
Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry
Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette
Baja Breeze, and Crumb Cake = (Currently known as Kraft)

From now until the new catalogue is released at the end of the year,  you can stock up on all of the retiring inks, reinkers, papers, ribbons, and other accessories that you love. Remember once they are gone, they will no longer be available. Please don't wait until the last minute.

If you are building up your colour collections, you may want to take a look at the New Colour Collections list above and only buy colours that are staying.

OR

If there is a colour that you love which will be retiring at the end of September, you’ll have six months to fill up on your inkpads, refills, cardstock colours before you won't be able to get them again.

Here is a better look at the colours that we will be saying farewell to in September:

This is all that we know at the moment but I will be able to share more information with you over the coming months once we know more.

However, in the meantime, we've got six months left of the current catalogue with all it's wonderful offerings.  and a BRAND NEW Mini Catalogue to get excited about.
