Convention & Training Swaps 2010–Part 1

Part of being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being able to attend some fabulous training events and of course Convention during the course of the year.

Not only do you learn new business ideas and take part in Make ‘n’ Takes, but you get to meet some wonderfully talented Demonstrator's from around the UK, and at Convention, from Europe.  Lots of Demonstrators take part in Swaps whether they be General or Organised.  The wonderful creations that these people come up with never ceases to astound me.

A while ago I started to share some of these fabulous creations with you. Now the madness of preparing for Christmas is out of the way I plan to carry on sharing.  Over several posts I will share more of these swaps that I have received from these fabulous people with you.  And wherever possible I will credit those that created them.

This fabulous Christmas Card was made by Sue White.  I do not have a website for Sue but will be happy to add it.

Look at the fabulous use of the Two-Step Bird Punch to make the robins. Gorgeous isn’t it?

Trendy Trees

I just love this cute set.
image
There so much you can do with it.  Little thank you cards, notes to friends just to say hi. With autumn underway it was definitely the inspiration I needed to make this cute little card.
Trendy Trees
The set incorporates the Two-Step Stamin’ technique.  However,  you can do as I did, and stamp your tree trunks onto the base card.
The base card is Soft Suede, with Whisper White.  The tree trunks are stamped in Soft Suede ink and the tree tops in Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.  I love this colour combo.
The funky tree tops were stamped onto Stampin’ Ups’! vellum and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder just to give it a gleam.  The picture doesn’t do it justice.  I trimmed round the tree tops using my paper snips, and attached them to the base card using Mini Glue Dots to give it a slight 3D effect.
All the items used making this card can be purchased directly from me.  Contact me to place your order.

Say Hello, Say Goodbye - It's a Renovation!

Some very exciting and fabulous news has just been announced by Stampin Up. Stampin Up is having a renovation...a colour renovation to be exact.

With the arrival of our new catalogue later this year we will see a major change to the colour families. This is great news for the UK as it means that we get 15 new colours AND we get the In-Colours that the US currently get - that will be 20 new colours to play with. They will then be known as Colour Collections

This means that there will be some exciting new colours for you and we will be saying a fond farewell to some other colours.

There will be 15 new colours to choose from:
Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Marina Mist, Cajun Craze
Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo
Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango
River Rock, Soft Suede
Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry
Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette
Baja Breeze, and Crumb Cake = (Currently known as Kraft)

From now until the new catalogue is released at the end of the year,  you can stock up on all of the retiring inks, reinkers, papers, ribbons, and other accessories that you love. Remember once they are gone, they will no longer be available. Please don't wait until the last minute.

If you are building up your colour collections, you may want to take a look at the New Colour Collections list above and only buy colours that are staying.

OR

If there is a colour that you love which will be retiring at the end of September, you’ll have six months to fill up on your inkpads, refills, cardstock colours before you won't be able to get them again.

Here is a better look at the colours that we will be saying farewell to in September:

This is all that we know at the moment but I will be able to share more information with you over the coming months once we know more.

However, in the meantime, we've got six months left of the current catalogue with all it's wonderful offerings.  and a BRAND NEW Mini Catalogue to get excited about.
