Scraps Valentine….

 

A great little valentine card or just to say I love you for no other reason that you do!  I just love the little tag which I made by stamping the love stamp from the Tiny Tags Stamp Set (page 66 IB&C 2010-2011), then punching it out with the Jewellery Tag punch. It’s held in place on the Silver Elastic Cord and with Mini Glue Dot.

The hearts were from the Lap of Luxury DSP from my scraps box again punched out with the Heart to Heart punch.

I really have a thing for the Silver Elastic Cord right now! It’s gorgeous!

More Scraps Creations

Hello again,
I recently told you about my raiding my scraps box, where I my inspiration for my card came from some little bits of Lap of Luxury DSP.  Well I made 2 other cards from those bits and here is the next one.

I really really love the colour combinations of the DSP.  It’s just so yummy!
This is such a simple card and yet would make a fabulous gift card or a cute wedding card.

Welcome to my part in the Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop.

The object of this blog hop is to bring you many wonderful, stunning creations using Stampin’ up!’s fabulous Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set. Well here’s my contribution... Enjoy!

My first item for you is a Mini Magazine Holder and matching cards using the fabulous Punch Bunch Stamp Set and So Happy for You Stamp Set. I’ve also used the In Colors ™ Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait cardstock & Ink and Pear Pizzazz ribbon. I have also used the Two-Step Bird Punch for the braches for the little owl’s to sit on and gold brads on the holders tag. The lovely spotty paper is from the In Colors ™ Designer Series Papers Stack.





Next up is a perfect little Post-it Note ™ Holder in the same colours as before. The moon behind little own is made using Textured So Saffron Cardstock and the 1 3/4 “ Circle Punch. These make great little thank you presents for friends and family.



And lastly I just couldn’t resist a neat little 6”x6” scrapbook page of my 2 little ones taken about a year and a bit ago. Aw!!!



The main Page is Pear Pizzazz, with Blushing Bride dotty paper from the In Colors ™ Designer Series Papers Stack. The photo mat is Concord Crush. One of my favourite colours!

The gorgeous flowers are from the SAB set Sweet Summer. I stamped them in Concord Crush on to Blushing Bride cardstock and cut them out. I just love this set and have used it loads since I got it.



The So Happy tag is from the So Happy for you SAB stamp Set, which I coloured just the first part of the set with my Concord Crush In Colors ™ Stampin Write Marker. I then punched it out using the Modern Label Punch. I took the edges off by punching the edges through the modern label punch and then mounted it onto a Concord Crush Modern Label.
A few of the Basic Pearls Jewels later and there you have it.

Birthday Wishes–Sale-a-Bration

 

Have you seen the Punch Bunch stamp set in this years Sale-a-Bration (SAB) promotion?  I , along with many others, just adore this cute little guy. 

He’s great for children’s birthday cards like this ones here, as well as grown ups.

I just love these cheerful boyish colours together.  Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue and Real Red.

The greeting & shooting star are both from the SAB set So Happy For You.  This is so versatile and is a must have.  Look at all the different phrases you have.

Sale-a-Bration–Punch Bunch For You!

 

With all the wintery weather everyone has been having or has had I thought there was a need for a cheerful card in some fabulous sunny colours.

I’ve used Poppy Parade, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight cardstock with a piece of Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper. I used Pear Pizzazz teamed up with the Scallop Circle punch.

The “For You” image is from the fabulous Sale-a-Bration (SAB) set – Punch Bunch.  I am loving this set as there are so many fabulous images that will allow you to make some truly wonderful cards, scrapbook pages and other paper craft projects.

Add a little Daffodil Delight Grosgrain ribbon and there you go!  A sunny card to cheer up someone's day.

Chic Valentine

 

Remember back at Convention I told you all about the fabulous stamp set that I won?  Well here it is all stamped up. Et Voilà!

I just love the Font used for the word stamp Amour!  I inked the stamp up using the “Rock & Roll” technique.  I first inked up using Cherry Cobbler (my new favourite red) and then very carefully rocked just the edge of the stamp in Basic Black before stamping onto Whisper White cardstock.

Convention & Training Swaps 2010–Part 5 Christmas

Another swap from one of our European Demonstrators.  This one is form Peggy Coguiec in France.



The baubles have been stamped using the masking technique,  the patterns in the baubles are from the Sparkling Jumbo Wheel. Then over the top is the stunning shimmer paint.  The photo really doesn’t show just how sparkly this card really is.

Sale-a-Bration 2011–Sweet Summer Flowers

I really do love this stamp set that Stampin up are offering in the Sale-a-Bration promotion.  It’s just so pretty and makes you think of those summer months ahead later this year.  This stamp set is timeless and will provide you with many projects.  I have so many ideas for mine even after the Sale-a-bration promotion ends.

The colours I used are Melon Mambo which is just so vibrant, with Wild Wasabi and So Saffron.

The flowers on the card really pop out.  No special technique here.  Just as you trim around the flower the pressure of you Paper Snips blades seem to lift the petals forward so when I attached the flowers to the card on a Stampin’ Dimensional they just popped out at me.

Each of the flowers have a small rhinestone in the middle just to make it that little bit more special.

Now all I need to decide is who to send it to.

Envelope Scrap Album

This is such a fun project to make.  And such a great way to show off photo’s.  It’s a great present.

 
If you took lots of photo’s of the children over Christmas ready to send the grandparents, aunties & uncles or even Mummies or Daddies posted overseas then what better way to do it than with an Envelope Scrap Album. 

                         
All you need is 3 straight flap envelopes (Stampin’ Up! Whisper White  or Very Vanilla) , 3 fabulous photos, 12 x 12 papers (I've used Stampin’ Up! Sunny Garden Designer Series Papers (DSP).  You can add Ribbons and any other embellishment's that you want. I’ve used brads from Stampin’ Up! Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware Collection.
You may want to strengthen the joins where the envelope flap sticks to the next envelope with scored cardstock.

Memo Block Holder–Tutorial

 

I just love this little Memo Block Holder.  It’s so easy to make.

       

It’s a great way to use 12 x 12 scrapbooking papers.  I have loads and I am always looking for new ways to use them other than on a scrapbook page or a card. Once you have made it and seen how quick it is to put together you’ll want to make loads as presents for your friends. I’ve made lots of these as presents for family, my son’s Nursery School Teachers, as prizes for the nursery raffles.

Unfortunately, I ran out of the white paper Memo Blocks so i filled this one temporarily with 3” x 3” Post it notes.

I’ve put together a small tutorial for you:-

Paper block holder

 

 Materials required:

 

·         Paper trimmer ·         1 inch circle punch ·         12 x 12 DSP (Designer Series Paper of your choice) ·         Cardboard (The white card from the DSP Packs is good for this or use cereal box cardboard and cover with DSP)

·         Ribbon ·         Pencil ·         Adhesive ·         Bone scorer ·         Cardstock (Matching colour from your Designer Series Paper Colours)

 

·          Step 1:

Take your sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper , and cut 3 inches off two of the sides, so that it now measures 9 x 9 inches (23 x 23 cm)

 

 

 

Step 2:

Fold the square piece of paper in half one way and then in half the other way……like this:

 

    

Step 3:

Fold each corner into the centre. Be sure to flatten with your bone scorer so you have a flat fold. So this for each corner, and it should look like this:

 

                

 

It looks a bit like the start of one of those games that we all made at school – Remember those?

 

Step 4:

On each long side fold in toward the centre, Making sure that the centre part will be large enough to take your memo block paper.

 

You will need to do this for all four sides and once you have done that it should look like this:

 

                    

 

Step 5: Fold out two opposite ends.

Step 6: Fold in the two sides so that they fold in toward each other, like in the picture below.

 

                  

Step 7: Take the large point flap and fold it in and over the folds you just did. The point should meet up with the others in the inside. Do this for the other side as well.

Step 8: Once you have both sides folded you will end up with a box like so. It is essential that you run your bone scorer over each fold, or it won’t fold into each other nice a flat. This is called an Origami box.

                      

 

Step 9: Cut a 3 x 3 inch square (or check size if your memo block was larger or smaller) of cardstock and place it in the bottom of the box to make it more sturdy.

Take your 1 inch circle punch and on one side punch out a half moon.

                              

Step 11:

Cut out one piece of cardboard, and one piece of DSP measuring 3.5 inches by 4 inches. Layer the paper on top of the cardboard.

 

                       

 

Step 12:

 Mount your paper box, using sticky strip or Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive, on top of the cardboard, so that it has a sturdy base. Fill your box with 3 x 3 inch pieces of paper or Post it Notes.  Decorate the outside of the box.

 

                          

 

Step 13:

Cover a pencil or pen with some DSP and created a little holder for it on the front of the cardboard sheet. Then you’ll always have a matching little pencil to write the notes on.  My pencil came from that well known furniture store from Sweden, but you could use Golfing pencils or similar.

From Scraps With Love

 

Every now and then I have moments when I feel the need to raid my scraps box and make something.  It’s my justification of why I keep all those little scraps and off cuts of paper and card.

And today’s card is one of those moments.  I had some left over 3.5” x 1.5” pieces of Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was left over from a project. I know, I know.  Why on earth would you keep bits that small you ask. 

So I can make something like this…..

I just love the colours together.  Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey & Very Vanilla.  Very yummy colours together.

I used the Heart to Heart punch to punch the hearts out of the DSP and attached those onto Concord Crush with Glue Dots.  The Happy Birthday is from the Perfect Punches Stamp set with a rhinestone on the dot of the i.  I really love the touch of bling these fabulous rhinestones give to projects.

I had more hearts left over and will make a a couple more cards and post them up soon.

Convention & Training Swaps 2010–Part 3 Christmas

How many times have you bought bottles of wine as presents for workmates, your staff or even the milkman?  It’s so easy just to pop it into a bottle bag or roll some Christmas wrapping paper isn’t it? Well how about making  this cute bottle tag.

This was a swap with  Lisa Runnalls at the Stampin’ Up! Convention this year.
Don’t you just love Rudolph? Lisa used the Two Step Bird punch to make Rudolph’s antlers, the large oval for the face and circles punches for the body & nose.
