Sale-a-Bration 2011
Sale-a-Bration (SAB) is here again and this years offerings are just fabulous.
Isn’t this just gorgeous? It’s called Sweet Summer and it’s just one of this years Sale-a-Bration sets. I love it!
The following card was made using the Sweet Summer SAB stamp set and Perfect Punches stamp Set from the main catalogue.
It’s so fresh and cottage garden looking in Early Espresso, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Rose Red.
I used Early Espresso satin ribbon across the middle of the card with the Happy Birthday raised on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The dot on the ‘i’ is accented with one of the fabulous Basic Rhinestones found on page 99 in the Idea Book & Catalogue.
Don’t forget there are 3 easy ways of earning the stunning SAB sets. If you would like to know more on how to earn this and other fabulous sets for free please get in touch.

Convention & Training Swaps 2010–Part 1
Not only do you learn new business ideas and take part in Make ‘n’ Takes, but you get to meet some wonderfully talented Demonstrator's from around the UK, and at Convention, from Europe. Lots of Demonstrators take part in Swaps whether they be General or Organised. The wonderful creations that these people come up with never ceases to astound me.
A while ago I started to share some of these fabulous creations with you. Now the madness of preparing for Christmas is out of the way I plan to carry on sharing. Over several posts I will share more of these swaps that I have received from these fabulous people with you. And wherever possible I will credit those that created them.
This fabulous Christmas Card was made by Sue White. I do not have a website for Sue but will be happy to add it.
Look at the fabulous use of the Two-Step Bird Punch to make the robins. Gorgeous isn’t it?

Merry Christmas
We are on the eve of Christmas Eve. All those last minute preparations are being done, and here it is no different.
I have just finished of a small bundle of gift card holders. I know, I know, some people think it's a lazy persons present, but there are some of my family and friends that love having them so they can go and pick up a bargain or two after Christmas.
But yes it does make me feel like I haven't put much effort into the gift. So this year I thought I would make some gift Card holders using yummy Stampin' Up! goodies and here's one of them finished.
My appologies for the quality of the photo's as I took them on my phone but I will try and get a better picture in daylight tomorrow when my camera is charged.
I hope you all have a wonderful Merry Christmas whatever you may do, and I will have some fabulous new projects coming your way very soon.
Oh and some very exciting news too...But that'll have to keep until after Christmas on the 30th as my lips have been sealed on that headline until then.
Take Care and Happy Holidays!

Simple yet stylish…
Isn’t amazing what you can do with card, papers and a punch? This is so amazingly simple to make.
It was made from some leftover Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper and matching cardstock.
I took a piece of spare Pretty in Pink cardstock and a spare piece of Lap of Luxury DSP and attached them onto a Concord Crush card base.
I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp from the Perfect Punches stamp set in Concord Crush (My new favourite Purple) on to Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the Extra large Oval. Using the Extra Large Oval Punch I also punched out a Pretty in Pink and Concord Crush Ovals. These were attached to the stamped oval with SNAIL, and then onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
There you go, simple yet stylish.

Greenhouse Gala Birthday
The flowers have been cut out of one of the 12 x 12 inch sheets from the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Papers (DSP), and adhered to Early Espresso cardstock mat. I used Gold Elastic Thread (Page 96 in the IB&C) to tie around the Early Espresso cardstock.
The greeting is stamped in Early espresso on Whisper White Cardstock, using the Happy Birthday stamp from the Perfect Punches stamp set. I punched this out with the Extra Large Oval punch and mounted it onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then mounted all of this directly onto a Whisper White greeting card.
I think the Gold Elastic Thread just sets this card off. It’s an essential for your craft room and just shows it’s not just for Christmas!

Beware Pirates - Arrrr!
The night before Convention 2010, Monica Gale & Natalie O’Shea had organised a Pre-Convention party with a quiz, time for swaps and make and takes. It was a great pre-event, event. I had so much fun meeting all the other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators there, making my projects and just generally hanging out with some very talented crafters.
The first project was an awesome 6x6” scrapbook page using the Beware Pirates Stamp set.
This was such a great project to make. I’ve ummm’d and arrrr’d (pardon the pun) over the set but now I have used it it’s way up there on my wish list.
I attached the Captain Jack Sparrow picture once I got home. Looks good doesn’t it?
What do you mean that’s not Johnny Depp? Really? Ha Ha, no you are right, it’s not. His name is Sean George. Like me, he’s also a member of the UK Garrison Reel Icons. He’s a great Captain Jack! Arrrr!

Happy Halloween
This fabulous card was made by my eldest daughter and myself. She made the Pumpkins using the Stampin’ Up! Large Oval Punch (1 ¾ x ⅞”).
They’re a cheeky bunch of Pumpkins. So easy to make and so so effective for Halloween. Their faces are just cut out from Basic Black Cardstock and stuck on using SNAIL Adhesive. Alternatively you can use the Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.
We used the following…
Card Stock – Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Concord Crush
Accessories – Large Oval Punch (1 ¾ x ⅞”), Signo White Gel Pen

Trendy Trees
There so much you can do with it. Little thank you cards, notes to friends just to say hi. With autumn underway it was definitely the inspiration I needed to make this cute little card.
The set incorporates the Two-Step Stamin’ technique. However, you can do as I did, and stamp your tree trunks onto the base card.
The base card is Soft Suede, with Whisper White. The tree trunks are stamped in Soft Suede ink and the tree tops in Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry. I love this colour combo.
The funky tree tops were stamped onto Stampin’ Ups’! vellum and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder just to give it a gleam. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I trimmed round the tree tops using my paper snips, and attached them to the base card using Mini Glue Dots to give it a slight 3D effect.
All the items used making this card can be purchased directly from me. Contact me to place your order.

Take a Bauble and…..
The bauble is from Contempo Christmas, and the rest of the card is made up from Big Bold Birthday. Big Bold Birthday has all the elements to make fabulous cupcakes – and cupcakes are so in right now. Have you see some of the fabulous wedding cakes there are that are surrounded by gorgeous cupcakes? Awesome.
Oh yeah, back to the card….
The Balloon basket is from the base of the cupcake stamped in Melon Mambo, the clouds are the top of the cupcake stamped in Pink Pirouette and the balloon is in the new in-color Concord Crush. This has fast become one of my favourite colours!
Up, Up and Away!!

Demonstrator Training - Contempo Christmas
During our training we get to make projects too! It’s great fun, this year there were about 70 0f us at the one I attended back in September in High Wycombe.
I couldn’t post up the project we made there before this, as the items were from the new Idea Book & Catalogue (IB&C) but as the new (IB&C) is now here….here is the project.
Isn’t it gorgeous? I might just have to make this my Christmas Card design this year.
I just love the colours Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso with Whisper White cardstock and Ribbon. We used the brand new stamp set called Contempo Christmas which is just fabulous. You might just be able to see that the bauble is standing out a little. No that’s not the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals, it’s a little bit of 3D!
Clever Huh? There is a fabulous new punch that goes with the Bauble in the new slimline punch design.
If you are interested in any of the items used in this project, you are able to purchase them through me.

Here comes clear mount.....
Stampin' Up! now offers repositionable, clear-mount rubber stamps, in addition to our award-winning wood-mount rubber stamps! These new clear-mount stamps are designed to maintain the unbeatable image quality you love about traditional Stampin' Up! stamps, while at the same time offering the flexibility, ease of use, and storability inherent in repositionable rubber stamps.
These are not acrylic or polymer stampers. They are they same red rubber stamps that you'll find on Stampin' Up's! wood mounted stamps. So you'll still get that sharp, crisp, clean image that you have come to love with Stampin' Up's! wood mounted stamps, and all with neat storage too.
Not only that Stampin' Up!, have also designed thier very own style of clear mount blocks that are amzing. They are exactly like wood blocks but clear.
But don't take my word for it, see for yourself....

Card Swap - Punches
The swap theme was punches, and as this was the first time I had ever done this, it seemed like the perfect theme to get into. After all I have a ton of them! So I made up enough card fronts with the “ingredients” on a label on the back for everyone involved in the swap, and sent them off to Pat who organised it all. When everyone had sent theirs in, Pat kindly sorted them all out and sent us all our set of wonderful, varied and inspiring card fronts!
This is my card front:-

Inks – Old Olive, Rose Red
Stamp Set – One of a Kind
Punch – Boho Blossoms

End of Year Nursery Summer Fete Raffle Prize
No I didn’t win it… I donated it. Unfortunately, they lady that won it did so as I was off dealing with my little ones and had left before I got back to meet her.
So if you are the lucky winner of this gorgeous (even if I do say myself) hamper, Congratulations!!! And please do get in touch and let me know what you think of all your new craft goodies.
If anyone is wondering, the “basket” is actually a fabulous “fold down box/drawer like item” that is from IKEA. I remember when I first bought one I rang my friend who was after something similar and described the design as “Striped Grosgrain meets Seeing Spots, in Whisper White and somewhere in between Old Olive and Certainly Celery”! It’s funny how so many items are now described in a Stampin’ Up way.
In the hamper was an Stampin’ Pad, Stampin’ Pastels, Stampin’ Dimensional’s, Circle Punch, Cardstock, Die cuts from the Petal Party Simply Scrappin’ Kit, A catalogue and a stamp set. Needless to say the nursery sold quite a few raffle tickets.
Until Next time….

My Son’s End of Year Nursery Summer Fete
First they had sports day, followed by the Graduation Ceremony for all the little ones going off to School Nursery or Reception class. It was such fun to see the children taking part in Sports Day with all the races they did and the medals they each received at the end. And then the Graduation Ceremony where all the leavers got their cap and rolled up certificate. At the end of photo’s they all threw their caps in there air – it was so lovely to see! My little one has one more year there so I will save up the hankies for his Graduation Ceremony before he goes onto “Big School”.
So onto the Summer Fete par of the day. As usual parents were asked for toys, games, unwanted gifts etc. Well after passing on some bottles of sparkling wine and such left over from our daughters Naming Ceremony, I got down to the fun of making some little gifts for the raffle. The inspiration came from Monica Gale's Blog. I just took it a little further and added the notebook and pencil.
And here they are all gift wrapped and tagged.
I hope you like them.

Updates from the last Stamp Camp Workshop….
This one is an easel card. Most that I have seen are “Portrait”, but I chose to go Landscape. They are so easy, I have no idea why I haven’t done them before!!!
I have left the greeting off so that when I am searching for just the right card, I can add just the right greeting.
I'm sure you’ll see more easel cards appear on here soon.
Enjoy

Random Acts of Kindness
The other day, out of the blue, a small parcel arrived on my doorstep addressed to me. Now I knew I hadn’t ordered anything so wondered what on earth it could be. Inside, carefully wrapped, was a little Hogwarts Gryffindor badge that one of my friends from the UK Garrison Costuming Club (http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/) that I belong to had sent me. One of my costumes is that of a Gryffindor Student and he thought I might like the badge to but on my UKG jacket.
It’s not often that RAK’s happen, and this was so out of the blue that it really humbled me. Even though I spoke to him after on the phone to say thanks you and tell him how thrilled I was with it, I still felt that it needed a little card to say thanks.
And here it is……
I used the following…
Stamp Sets – Circle Circus & Thank You Kindly
Inks – Basic Black, Basic Grey, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery
Card Stock – Whisper White, Brocade Blue, Basic Black & Basic Grey
Accessories – Silver Brad
I think you’ll agree that this is quite a nice masculine thank you!

A lot going on…..
One thing that we have been doing is planning our darling daughters naming ceremony. The venue is booked, caterers are booked, invites went out and replies are coming in.
Now the invites are not Stampin’ Up! apart from the SNAIL Adhesive I'm afraid. They are however, an exact copy of her brothers design from 3 years ago. I could have gone for something different but I just love the design and….well it had to be done. I hope you like it, it’s neat, simple but oh so sweet!
